LUMOS X ROMY BENNIE
Each vessel in this collection is sculpted by the hands of clay artist Romy Bennie exclusively for Lumos Culture.
Imprints of the mesmerising black rocks that line the east coast of Gumbaynggirr , Bundjalung, and Yaegl country are etched into the hand built stoneware which leaves them finished with a basalt-like quality. Experimental reactive glazes are used to create completely unique one off pieces, Honouring the beauty in imperfection,
“From the Primordial allure of the rich red earth of the plateaus to the loamy black soils of the rainforest and the soft white sand on the beaches. Nature has inspired in me shape, form and texture that continues to change with every piece I create.”
